As you well know, I’m a big Next fan and had great fun last year running a series of posts called Love Interiors, where I revamped my Dining Room in conjunction with Next Home.
Today I have road-tested a lovely new bed set from Next – the Shinto Velvet Panel Black set. There are lots of gorgeous bed linen sets available on the Next website but I chose this one for its ability to co-ordinate with our black and teal wallpaper and giant black headboard, also from Next purchased in the sale a few years ago!
From the website I could see customers were liking the set but you never quite know so I was keen to see how it looked. I can say I am impressed. It’s much more glamorous than I thought it would be and as is common, the photos didn’t really do it justice. The black velvet stripes are thick and soft and the silver and grey panels feel luxurious. The quality is good too and at just £37 I’m liking it more.
Now many of you may be thinking one thing: it’s quite masculine. Ok, yes I agree it probably is. Not always a bad thing but I thought I’d do a little moodboard to mix it with some other items I found on the Next website that would take the edge off the masculinity.
1. Amelie Rug
2. Phone
3. Cushion
6. Marimba
Thank you to Next for sending the Bed Set free of charge for the purposes of this review.
