For a long time now I’ve been hunting and scouring the internet for a new living room rug. The old one has been there forever it seems, and although I still love its look, it is starting to show signs of wear and tear. So when wayfair.co.uk asked me if I would like to run a wayfair review and test a product from their site I jumped at the chance.
Wayfair’s tagline – a zillion things for the home – couldn’t be more true. I will confess it took me a whole week of hunting the site to find what I wanted. Every time I narrowed the search I was still finding thousands of products to hunt through and really couldn’t believe the selection was so large. And why had I not heard of it before now? If you want something new for the home this really is a site that you need to take a browse through. Fabulous products at fabulous prices.
For the review I’ve chosen a stunning multicoloured rug from Papilo – the Pure Season rug currently retailing at £189.
At 170cms x 120 cms in size it’s the perfect fit for the living room space. And made from recycled leather it really is super stylish and extremely well made. It is really heavy too so you know it’s a quality item. Papilio’s dedicated design team located in Belgium creates collections and concepts, supported by textile technicians mastering the arts of rugmaking. These innovative products are then produced in countries around the globe depending on where they find the expertise matching their standards.
We think the Pure Season rug looks like a piece of a summer garden right there in the living room. Colourful leather flowers adorn a green grass-like base which brightens up the space remarkably.
I think it’s now time to take a fresh eye to some of the accessories in the room, particularly the soft furnishings and maybe tie them in a little closer with the look of the rug. But to be honest, I’m happy for the room to be a reflection of the things I love at any particular time and if they become a little ‘eclectic’ looking well that’s all fine. Don’t you agree?
Disclosure: I was sent the Papilio rug from wayfair.co.uk for the purposes of this article.
