Chic Showcase: Bathroom Glamour and Sparkle

‘She Leaves a little Sparkle Wherever She Goes’

What a fabulous saying. If you’re looking to jazz up your bathroom, or add some sparkle and glitz then here are a few ideas for you in today’s Polyvore moodboard. Most of us have a white suite so it’s really easy and simple to inject a little glamour into your bathroom but if you don’t want to do this to the main bathroom, and you’re lucky enough to have an en-suite then why not add your glitz there.

Adding Sparkle

Keeping the décor quite simple with white or silver grey walls and adding glamorous accessories is definitely the way to create this look. Anything with a little sparkle will do, from the soap dish to the lighting. I’ve talked before about how to create an Art Deco bathroom which uses lots of sparkle and oversized pieces so do take inspiration from this look. It’s one that lends itself very well to a glamorous bathroom.

Mirror Mirror

A very easy way to create a glamorous look is to add lots of reflective and shiny surfaces. I love this Pebble Grey bathroom cabinet with lights in the moodboard above, which would create exactly the right kind of sparkly look you need. And don’t think that this looks means you need to forego on practicality either.  I also love this Pebble Grey bathroom cabinet with shaver socket too, ideal for the man in your life, which would work equally as well.

Splashes of Colour

Of course just because it’s a sparkly, reflective kind of scheme doesn’t mean you can’t add some bold flashes of colour. In the moodboard I’ve given you a few colour options and gone with the dramatic black and gold embroidered towels with black accessories but also shown how something like a hot pink colour flash could look fabulous too. Anything bold and dramatic that complements a glitz and glamour lifestyle would work well.

Light the Way

And finally don’t forget some sparkly lighting, both from the shades you use and the light you create. Create lots of iridescent glamour around the room from a glass cut light shade. Just make sure it’s suitable for bathroom use of course!

And so there we have it, a quick guide to updating your glamorous bathroom. Do you have a glamorous, glitzy bathroom? Would you add some of these touches in your home?
