For a little while now I’ve been wanting to showcase some lovely lighting. Gorgeous lamps and light fittings that really float my boat. There are just so many out there, and some of them can be very expensive, that it’s taken me some time to focus and find a few to feature here on the blog. But finally, after my little break away I’m back with renewed energy and lots more ideas. So here we have a little roundup of several lamps and light fittings that I’ve found that would really compliment modern, contemporary decor.
This first one is from the Betty Jackson range for Debenhams and retails at £45. Actually, at the moment it’s going for £36 in the 20% off sale. It’s described as a Grey (although looks more brown to me) Table Lamp and I love it’s angles and minimal styling. Very sleek indeed and adaptable to any scheme. Fabulous.
This next one I just love. Admittedly you can buy this style from lots of places but I like this colour, and think it would make a fantastic accent in a neutral or white scheme. I have one of these in white in my living room and can see myself loving it for many years to come. This one is available from www.woolworths.co.uk for £100.
Ceiling light pendants can be very expensive. Gorgeous but pricey and I can’t always see why to be honest. I’m often on the look out for contemporary but affordable pendants that modernise a scheme and loved this one when I came across it. There are several variations along this design out there but this one from Littlewoods looks very stylish. I love the monochrome colours which would work really well in a neutral scheme, or that favoured monochrome palette with flashes of bright accent colours. The Serena Pendant is £30 from www.littlewoods.com.
So, that’s it for now. I’m on the hunt for more unusual light fittings and lamps and hope to showcase more in the coming weeks. Do let me know if you spot anything, or if you design anything and we’ll see if we can get it featured.
