This Competition has now closed.
I have a great competition prize for you courtesy of Cycle Centre, a family bike shop in Newcastle. Spring is finally on it’s way and it feels like time to start getting the bikes out and taking the children further afield to explore some glorious open spaces. My girls LOVE their bikes and take every opportunity to get their helmets on and the bikes out of the shed. A trip to the Post Office, to the park, a friends house, the local shops, or just around the block, they never miss the chance to get on their bike! And now the younger one is off her stabilisers it feels like we will have the chance to do more family bike outings at weekends and in the summer holidays.
So I was thrilled when Jill and Kay at Cycle Centre offered some fab kids Crazy Stuff helmets to the Love Chic Living readers as part of this competition. Cycle Centre has been a family business since 1938 when it was owned by Jill and Kay’s grandfather, and in their own words,
“We’re still here after all these years getting more bums on saddles and kids off stabilisers. We love it.”
The guys and girls at Cycle Centre love cycling but won’t bamboozle you with science. They all enjoy cycling in their leisure time which keeps them fit and healthy, and up to date about cycling for REAL people! They are mums and dads, fair weather cyclists, hard core BMXers, mountain bikers, fixie riders and roadies. They are normal people and that’s how they know what you will need when you’re out there on 2 wheels. They really care about cycling and want to make it enjoyable for as many people as possible.
“We’ve got tonnes of bikes and bits to choose from. We know you have a choice about where to buy from and we will do what it takes to make you want to buy from us. Please give us the chance to match prices and offers from our competitors. Times are tough and we know you need to keep a tight reign on the family budget.”
And so in line with the Chic style of our blog here, I want to keep your kids looking stylish when you’re out there on your bikes.
Cycle Centre have given me these amazing Crazy Stuff Kids Helmets to give away to FOUR lucky winners! How brilliant are they? Each worth £35, your children are going to be the talk of the cycle path in these stylish animal helmets.

We love to hop on our bikes and travel just a few hundred metres from home to a local wildlife area called Wyken Slough. ‘The Slough’ is a local nature reserve, and part of the Sowe Valley Walk. It is made up of marshes, floodland and reedbeds and we take food to feed the swans, ducks and moorhens. The pool in the centre of the area is the largest expanse of water in Coventry. it is very close to the Oxford Canal and Hawkesbury Junction Conservation Area and although the area is mostly preserved with reed beds and wild grasses, there is a path all the way around the pool which is brilliant for cycling.
The local park is lovely – its got a huge lake that you can cycle round. The squirells are my favourite though! xoxo

LOL. Very Cute Helmets, so fancy.
I loved your post! It’s important to teach kids about safety, and these days there are so many cool options. I remember when StacHat bike helmets were the only option! Bright Orange or Yellow!
Cool Helmets. My kids will certainly love them.
That kid helmet is cute indeed. Effective for kids head protection during cycle riding.
