I’m off to Blogtacular this weekend, the hot new blogging conference for design orientated and creative bloggers. Can’t wait.
It’s been ages since I’ve been to a conference, and at the moment, don’t have plans to go to any others. I wasn’t going to do any, but then a few bloggers I know mentioned this one, and my interest was piqued.
So what has drawn me in?
Well, the fact that it’s over 2 days, well one and a half I guess, appeals to me. And it’s specifically for my type of blog. It looks really cool too so I’m hoping for lots of design, layout, photography and styling tips. I’d love a bit of techy stuff thrown in there too. We shall see.
I’m really looking forward to meeting up with some blogging buddies I’ve known for a little while, Lucy from Lish Concepts, and Antonia from Tidy Away Today, and new friends like Fritha from Tigerlilly Quinn. I’ll also meet Katie Miss Enchanting for the first time. Conferences are great opportunities to meet up with those people you’ve connected with online, but never met in the flesh before. (Will you recognise each other though, always a stress!)
I am also really happy to be partnering with my Blogtacular sponsor, Amara Living. I’ve been liaising with Amara for a little while now, on various mini projects for their blog and mine. They’re so lovely to deal with, and of course, I love their site. Amara.com is an online luxury home interiors store, housing over 200 of the most luxurious fashion brands, including exclusively showcasing Ralph Lauren Home. They’ve come from an interior design and business background with a small retail outlet, to creating a solid online presense that grows and grows. They are renowned for their amazing customer service, even winning the Best Online Customer Service award in 2011.
What do I love about them?
Well there’s Missoni for a start:
Then of course, there’s Neom and their divine candles:
And one of my other favourites, Jonathan Adler and their chic home accessories:
There’s lots more to discover at Amara though so do hope over and take a browse.
Me? Well, I’m off to pack and to read up on the workshops in the Blogtacular schedule. Can’t wait!
Have fun and I hope you come back from the conference full of great ideas. Not that you need anything to improve your blog 😉
