    I suffer from bouts of Insomnia, this great Lumie Bodyclock could help me wind down…and if I have only had a few hours sleep but needing to take the kids to school it would wake me slowly rather than an awful beep beep beeping!

    Gosh, I’ve never seen one of these before, but having read your review, its sounds amazing. I, like alot of people, have trouble getting to sleep and waking up in the mornings, especially in winter, no motivation, tired all the time etc. Listening to the crashing waves just before going to sleep, I think, would really help me drift off to sleep and the light in the mornings would be so beneficial too, to just wake up gradually, instead of having to get out of bed half asleep, which is not good x

    This is such a cool clock. I have a similar app on my phone, but my husband doesn’t like to use it. If we had this, I am sure he would happily wake up every morning instead of the tiny annoying clock he currently has.

    I have clinical depression for years.Very high dose of medication made me sensitive to light so I can’t go out very often. I spend most of my time indoors with closed curtains. Sunrise and sunset would regulate my sleep and light would lift my mood.

    It would meant at I could go to bed with the curtains closed as I have to have them open so I have some kind of daylight when the alarm goes off in the mornings otherwise I don’t wake or get up

    I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and M.E.-amongst some other fun lil’ labels-and I find it very hard to keep up my magnesium and Vitamin D levels, so as a result I really struggle in the loooooong winter months from the lack of sunlight and have issues with both insomnia and then with getting up and ‘awake’ and alert. I would dearly love to see if one of these would help me, as I have read so much about them and yet never seem to have the money to spare for one, thanks to the joys of teenagers and their bottomless bellies/bottomless pockets, lol.

    This would help me in the darker months to wake up and get up joyfully and with a spring in my step. I find it amazing how much easier it is to do this in summer so think of the added time and energy to be gotten all year round with this wonderful light.

    I find that grey, dull wintery days (I live in Manchester, it’s like this more often than not) have me feeling quite low. This week there have been a few sunny mornings and I’ve noticed a marked improvement, it instantly makes you feel positive! I’d love one of these to get me through the rest of the year when the sun is shining behind all the clouds!

    Waking up on a sunny morning changes my mood for the whole day. During the winter and the dark mornings I feel down and find it very hard to get up and motivate myself….this would change that.

    As a blogger, I keep my own schedule, and it is quite difficult sometimes waking up early when I need to! Especially in the winter, when dreary weather makes you want to hide away in bed. A Lumie would be incredible to help me stick to an earlier wake up routine.

    I can’t sleep unless a room is totally dark so it’s black out blinds for me so I’m not awake at a silly time in the summer. Unfortunately, as long as it’s dark I think I should still be asleep so a Lumie would get me in to action at a time I want.

    I have SEVERE sleeping problems due to being autistic – lower levels of melatonin and executive functioning problems – which are then made all the worse by lack of routine, messed-up body-clock, stress of not being able to sleep, and the lack of sleep leading to worsening ASD.

    During a good phase I will sleep from 6am-1pm…but then I start going to bed later or over-sleeping to the point where I’m not waking until 10pm…so to get anything done that means I have to avoid sleeping all together. Not sleeping causes serious health problems, but also messes-up my sleep even further again as I’ll fall asleep on the sofa then not be able to sleep at a more normal time. Right now I’m going through a bad phase, I hadn’t slept in my bed for a week and the past two nights although I’ve been able to go to bed I’ve woken up after just 3 hours. On the plus side as someone who used to suffer insomnia I know it could be worse!

    Who knows, maybe an alarm clock that doesn’t involve a buzzer that can be shut-up and that wakes me gently might help give me a gentler way to get into a routine. Nothing else works.

    OMG! what a fantastic prize! My boyfriend has one of these alarm clocks. For some reason it doesn’t work for him. But I know it works for me.

    It would help me get up in the morning as currently I when my alarm goes of it feels like a sudden wake up call – even thought it is birds signing. Waking up slowly and more naturally would defiantly motivate me to exercise too!

    In the winter it would help most. Rise at 6am when the sun is still down, so would help ease the pain of waking up. I also have a hard time sleeping and I would hope then dimming light would help relax me to sleep.

    It would help me to feel happier in the mornings because at the minute I’m not a morning person at all. The reason for this is because as soon as my alarm goes off I have to get up and I never feel awake, I always feel like I need an extra half an hour in the warmth just to slowly wake up. The slow wake up feature on this sounds perfect and I’d hopefully be a happy bunny in the mornings instead of a grumpy old troll!

    I wake up constantly throughout the night. My sleep pattens have been ruined from years of working as a night nanny. For once in my life i would like to have a solid nights sleep, so i can wake up with engery and face the day. I am currently taking melatonin tablets that i get from the states, but even those dont seem to be working anymore.

    To be honest it wouldn’t help me that much as I get up OK, but it might be the saving of my hubby! He had never been on time for anything in his life and can’t (won’t?!) get up in the morning. He’s gone through countless alarm clocks and just turns them off and goes back to sleep 🙁 Cause of the only arguments in our marriage!

    I do wake early so to be ready for work and to have the kids to breakfast club. Over winter I do find it harder to wake in the morning than I do in the summer months and I feel more sluggish in winter. This would help me to wake with a more fresh approach to the day and hopefully improve my productivity at work too.

    I have in the past used a lamp to try and help with my low ebbs of mood and found them to effective to a point but i think this would be a great improvement on that by helping to settle my going to sleep phase and introduce me to a more gentle waking up phase i would be very excited to see how much this would help me.

    I’m going to be 70 next month and still working. I’m a Widow now and currently use my Daughter’s old mobile alarm to wake me up. It is not always working properly. I work as a Carer for a charity starting early in the morning, so I have people that depend on me for their appointments (a lot of sick people) and looking after children and the elderly. I would dearly love one of these, they are pricey and I would not be able to afford one of these on my own. I do suffer from S.A.D. syndrome and have read a lot about the Lumie Bodyclock starter.     I think this would help me at the end of the day instead of the beginning. I can never drop off to sleep so having a gradual ‘sunset’ effect would hopefully help me drop off nicely.

    When winters here I find it so depressing getting up when its dark and miserable, it starts my day of bad which is never a good thing as I end up chasinig the day to try and be happy

    What a lovely giveaway prize and so useful. I’d love to wake up in the mornings in a good mood for a change instantly, instead of needing the necessary strong coffee and having to wait for the caffeine to kick in! A much gentler way to wake up.

    I’ve always been terrible at getting up in the morning, this would make a huge difference in my life (and save on buying new alarm clocks when they get thrown across the room)

    Hailing from Down Under I really struggle with the dark mornings over the winter months… (ie six months of the year) I’ve been hankering for one of these for a long time…

    I always function better on the days when I have woken up naturally. This would help me to wake up on the days when I need to be awake earlier than I naturally would wake up.

    I struggle with dark mornings. I just cannot get going. Even when its an early start to go somewhere like a day trip or holiday, I just cannot wake up in the dark! x
