I love wall art. I’ve always had a thing for it and find it to be one of the best ways to liven up a room and bring it to life.
I’m no connoisseur. In fact, I buy pieces that grab my attention in the moment, that work with the room’s colour scheme and that makes me happy.
That will be the main reason I think. The art makes me happy.
Let me show you what made me happy when I browsed the Desenio website recently for this collaboration.
Living Room Wall Art Collage with Desenio
I’ve worked with Desenio before and still have their art up in my home, in both the living room, my attic bedroom and at the top of the landing. I love it and have bought things from there myself and recommended them to others.
I have no problem in recommending them to you and working with them again. They’re a great online brand, delivery is fast and parcels arrive well packaged.
The art in my living room above this sofa had been there for some time. I still love, but it was time for a collage with more impact. I’ll relocate those pieces to another place in the house at a later date because they still hold a special place for me. .
I wanted to create a collection of colours that worked better with the living room.
A set of prints which, together looked like one bigger piece. This way I can bring more of a statement to this wall above the sofa.
And here are the prints I chose from Desenio.
As you can see I went for a yellow and blue theme, with dashes of pink – exactly the colour scheme I use in this room.
I’d also decided I wanted a mix of finishes so as well as plain prints, I opted for a few photographic prints too. I think it works well.
I’m so pleased with the result. It has way more impact than the previous collage and ‘fills’ the wall in more ways than one.
Dark walls are tricky to accessorise sometimes. The room can feel overpowering and if you don’t want that, breaking up the blocks of dark hue with bolder, flashes of colour seems to work well.
It’s a trend I’ve adopted in this room and I’m really happy with it. Even though the walls are dark and the atmosphere is cosy, the colourful wall art helps if feel less oppressive.
Shop My Collage:
All prices are for the artwork only and frames would be extra. There are lots of choices with frames and I went for a cohesive black frame set, but you could mix it up and choose a few white, some gold and black, to give it more of an eclectic feel.
