Love Chic Living to speak at Britmums Live!

It’s been quite a week! Quite a week indeed and I’m over the moon with some of the events that have occurred.

Love Chic Living has now be up and running for just over a year. In that time some fabulous things have happened to me and I’ve had an amazing time and met some amazing people.

This week will see me leave the ‘job’ I’ve had running my own business for the last 5 1/2 years as my partner has taken over my share. It’s a big thing. The end of an era some might say. My business was to teach families how to use baby sign language and help babies communicate before they could speak. A wonderful job, not really a job more of a hobby it was such fun. I shall miss it.

But this means I can focus my energies and my time on writing. I want to expand my portfolio and freelance more for relevant home and interior websites. I’m about to launch a new blog (more about that later) and I’ve written some guest posts for commercial sites. So it feels like it’s all going in the right direction. And then last week happened!

Magazine B:

Last Monday I was interviewed and photographed by Magazine B, a design and brand magazine, mainly published in South Korea but also available at the British Design Museum. Each issue features a brand and looks at how that brand is marketed, who uses it and what that says about it. The April issue is all about Joseph Joseph and I’ve written about them on the blog several times. It was a great experience, lots of fun and I’m sure I’ll be telling you more about it once the issue is out.

NEXT Blogger of the Month:

A few days later I received a lovely email from Next telling me I’d been chosen as the Next Blogger of the Month for March. You may well have noticed a pretty little badge on the sidebar here on the blog announcing the fact! After reviewing a lovely bedset and working with them on the Dining Room makeover project last year this is a real honour and I’m very pleased and proud.

Look out for my bio and mini interview on the Next Facebook page in the next few days.

Britmums Live!

The week had been a good one, but by Friday it reached epic proportions. I have been asked to speak on a panel about Style Blogging on fashion, beauty and home at Britmums Live! As you know I already write the Britmums Home and Design Monthly feature, but here’s a little more about the conference –

BritMums Live! is the UK’s biggest, two-day social media conference and blogger event, where lifestyle bloggers and social influencers gather to meet and socialise, network with brands, improve their skills, and fire their creativity. BritMums Live has grown out of BritMums, the UK’s largest parent blogger community, made up of more than 4,200 influential bloggers who create content about lifestyle, crafting, food, health, travel, education, tech, style and more.

So there you have it, I’m thrilled and honoured to be part of conference. The list of speakers is amazing with Keynote speakers including Kirstie Allsop and Katie Piper.

How exciting!

Better start thinking about the outfit and planning what I’m going to wear!
