Welcome again to the second of our Moodboard Monday features, hosted here on the Love Chic Living home blog and over at the gorgeous Lifestyle blog, LISH Concepts. The theme this week is Alfresco Dining and both Mummylish and I have really interpreted this in different ways once again. I’ll be showing you the LISH Concepts board, but if you want to see what I put together then head on over to LISH and take a peek at my creation.
We would love to see people joining in with us and showing us your wonderful creations too. It doesn’t have to be fancy or clever and could just be a collage of favourite images or photographs. Remember to think through your board and identify your five words to describe the style or mood you would like to create. It really will help you and focus your idea once you start putting images together. Then link it up in the comments and we’ll try and feature them on both sites and on our Facebook pages. We would love to see your interpretations of Alfreso Dining! Just take a look at what Becky has put together in the Babybudgeting Moodboard
Right then, time to unveil the fabulous Moodboard, Swallows and Amazons from LISH Concepts. It really is a beautiful one, and here’s what Mummylish has to say about it:
The theme for this week really inspired me. If there is one thing I love it is dining alfresco. I’m at my happiest when I’m outside in the sunshine with my loved ones. The sun restores me, refreshes me and I love the peace that nature brings to me. For me dining alfresco is all about being at one with nature, enjoying your food in the open air with family and friends. I tried to capture the natural elements of dining alfresco, as well as an ‘English’ and perhaps somewhat personal take on it. I’d say this is a little insight into my soul, my happy place, looking at it just makes me content. I want to be there. I would say the board pretty much sums up my taste interior design wise, I love anything natural, rustic, wooden and with a soul. My favourite colour is yellow. I spent some time choosing gorgeous items that compliment the look and feel of this board and I particularily love the sun in the jar which captures sun rays during the daytime at creates a solar light at night. But equally as stunning is the swallows mobile, the pine torch and the olivewood bowl – I love them! What does alfresco dining mean to you? Why don’t you join in and share your moodboards with us! We would love to see 🙂 Feel free to use any tool and method you like to create your moodboard. This week I used Polyvore.com an excellent website where you can make up a collection by surfing the web and clipping images to your Polyvore account as you go. When you are happy with what you have found you can arrange into a moodboard and link up to us! Go forth and create… Mummylish x
