We don’t do camping. We didn’t own a tent. Until now.
Now we have a camping set courtesy of Persil and I’m all for encouraging the girls to be more adventurous.
Last week the girls took the opportunity to spend their first night in the tent in an attempt to be brave and mighty. Persil Mighty!
They were hugely excited and much planning had gone into the experience. It was Friday evening, the weather hot and sticky but they weren’t deterred. Persil sent us the camping gear including a sleeping bag, so once we located our spare from the loft, the campover was underway.
What you see them eating is their version of the American S’more courtesy of Brownie camp. Toast your marshmallows and then, when melted, sandwich between two digestive biscuits. Hilarious watching them ‘toast’ marshmallows over the tealight, but they were very determined that it would work, and it did, even if the marshmallows were slightly charred. I even ate (half of) one. Yum!

Ok then, let the campover commence.
……… for about one hour.
Yes, the much anticipated camping experience lasted all of about an hour. To be honest, I was expecting it to be less. so I think they did well.
One child became nervous, tired and irritated so came in with pillows and cuddly toys declaring camping not her thing, and pootled off to bed.
The second child stayed out there a little longer, but finally gave in when it started to get dark.
Sorry Persil, the girls weren’t as brave and mighty as they first thought, but had a fabulous time giving it a go.
Persil Mighty Review:
Persil also sent us a bottle of Persil Bio Small and Mighty to try out and see what we thought. I actually use Persil Bio all the time so I’m pretty sold on it anyway but this bottle has new packaging and a new ball dispenser. After using it for a week now I’m pretty impressed. I like the contents obviously otherwise wouldn’t have continued using it for so long, but there are a few key changes to the packaging which I really like:
The bottle is neater with a much improved pouring spout which saves on mess and dribbles.
The Stain Eraser ball sits in a hole within the bottle so I don’t seem to lose it as much!
The ball is made of a plastic that makes it much easier to see how much liquid you’ve put in
And finally the ball has it’s own little pouring spout so it can be used to dispense liquid onto tougher stains which are then agitated with the bobbles on the base of the ball. Hence the ‘Stain Eraser ball’ name!
So Persil want to encourage more children to be mighty and brave and try out a night of Camping. To help them do this they’re giving away camping sets similar to the one we received on their site. To find out more and to enter click here and help your little one be brave and mighty.
