Review: Scrunch Buckets from Wacky Practicals

We’re back after our week away in a rather chilly, but spectacularly beautiful North Wales and glad as ever to be home. Whilst away we were given some rather cool Scrunch Buckets from a company called Wacky Practicals to try out at the beach and the girls were extremely excited to give them a workout.

Wacky Practicals sell all kinds of weird and wonderful products that make your life simpler. The Scrunch Bucket is one such product. If you are fed up trying to fit several buckets into your bag or car ready for the beach then you’ll love this idea. Made of silicone the Scrunch Bucket can be rolled and folded into the smallest of spaces and popped out when you need it. We LOVED them!

Off we went to the beach, Scrunch Buckets in the bag, along with spades, fishing nets, and all the usual beach gear that we have collected over the years. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really with us this year and our day at Llandudno was the best of the bunch. But the buckets came out and were duly tested out. Being quite ‘floppy’ we wondered if they would make good sandcastles. For two young girls this was the ultimate test! And yes, the buckets didn’t fail. Water was collected, as were shells and mussels and even crabs (we put them back of course) and the buckets were a big hit and a great success.

I’m looking forward to seeing if the buckets wear well. Apparently they will last for years and still look good unlike your plastic traditional buckets which crack and fade. Scrunch Buckets are also non toxic so you could use them as a dog bowl or plant holder too. And of course, they are very strong and made to last no matter what you throw in them. They can cope with holding boiling water, and you can pop them in the dishwasher if they stain from something like oil!

For just £6.99 each I think they are a must for every family. They look fantastic, the colours are gorgeous and they’re so much better than your ordinary beach buckets. For now our Scrunch buckets are cleaned off and stored in the shed ready for the next beach adventure, probably next year. And of course, they are all rolled up and tucked in a corner taking up minimal space. Thank you to Wacky Practicals for sending the girls a bucket each to take away on our holiday and test out. We are big fans and would highly recommend them to anyone!
