Stunning Alice In Wonderland from Whittard of Chelsea

150 years of Alice in Wonderland

I noticed this gorgeous set of china when some images dropped into my inbox the other day, and I just had to share.

Whittard of Chelsea and designer, Alison Appleton have partnered to produce this stunning range, to celebrate the 150th year since Alice in Wonderland was written. The ‘down the rabbit hole’ collection features limited editions ceramics in a contemporary, on-trend style.

It’s a favourite in our house and Miss E, my eldest daughter, recently did a tap dance to an Alice in Wonderland themed routine. She looked great in her ‘Spade’ guard outfit. I must have had that in my mind when I saw this set.

I was also very drawn to the quirky styling and more angular shape of the pieces in the range.

The prices seem really reasonable too, with the milk and sugar set at £35 and a mug at £16. For something that you might want to keep as part of a collection, I think that’s pretty ok.

So, how about you, are an Alice In Wonderland fan? There’s lot’s more information and varieties to the range on the Whittard of Chelsea website, with this particular collection being launched on 10th May.

When I was a child I loved Alice in Wonderland. This china is so beautiful, perfect for a tea party – with or without the Mad Hatter!

Very sad that our Whittards shut in St Albans! BTW Are you taking Miss E to 42nd Street when it opens in London next year? She will love all that tap dancing!
