Becky at Family Budgeting has been sharing some wonderful upcycling ideas recently including this one on teacups, and my favourite one on boats, so today I want to show you some upcycling pallet ideas for home interiors.

There is a growing trend these days towards upcycling and recycling old objects into something wonderful for the home. Upcycled interiors are really the way forward for many people, and this couldn’t be more evident than on Pinterest. For some time now I’ve become a little bit enthusiastic about Pinterest and the many wonderful images there; I could spend hours drooling over the wonderful home interiors, food, craft and fashion finds, and often do!

In fact, I’ve just created a mini course for anyone who wants to use Pinterest more successfully for their blog or their business. It’s called 7 Steps to a Killer Pinterest Strategy and it’s absolutely FREE! It’s not going to take up bags of your time either, so if you want to get hands on it, CLICK HERE.

Take a look and see what you think!

I’m going to go pallet crazy with these and all of the ideas on Pinterest.. lol! One important thing to note is you have to be careful of the chemicals they are infused with, so sanding & painting them is always a good idea (or so I heard). 🙂 Thanks for the cool ideas!

if your working with pallets keep an eye out for the heat treated symbol you can do a quick google search for what it looks like it. it will help to limit having to worry about chemicals to a point

Wow, these are some really great ideas! A friend of mine recently dumped a bunch of these shipping pallets on me, because I’ve been looking for a way to practice some DIY woodworking stuff. I really like those bed designs, I’ll probably try that first, my sons would really like those. Thanks so much for sharing, you’ve given me something to do this weekend!

These are great collection of pallets. I love how the wood pallet makes a great decor for a room. It make me feel like I’m with the nature, since I love being with nature.

I’ve just completed my first pallet furniture project–media storage for my living room, and I can honestly say it was the easiest and cheapest DIT project I have ever done!!! The pallet was free (courtesy of my husband’s employer) and I opted to leave it raw because it was in such excellent condition and I liked the rustic look of the finished product best. I simply bolted the pallet to the wall in such a way to maximize horizontal storage for my DVDs and other media and it was as easy as that! The pallet has more than enough space to store our collection with room to spare for future additions. We are very happy and look forward to trying some other pallet projects soon! This article has some wonderful inspiration for anyone interested and I highly recommend Reusing pallets to anyone considering such a project: it is environmentally friendly, free or significantly low cost compared to alternative materials, versital and easy to work with, and a unique and clever piece that you can say you made! Thanks again for sharing these ideas!
