My Top 5 for Budget Chic Home Interiors

I love gorgeous home interior magazines like Living etc and Elle Decoration. I love ogling the beautiful home design buys, and admiring the stylish home features.

But when it comes to styling my own home, the beautiful home products featured in magazines such as this are just a step too far for me in terms of price. Well quite a few steps in fact; I’d say a full metric mile!

As much as I adore the lovely cushions (ooh yes, I have a thing for cushions!) the beautiful rugs and uber modern furniture, my budget simply won’t stretch that far. And to be honest, even if I could afford them, would I want my children abusing these beautiful items? I’m not sure I could handle that.

So where do we go to find stylish home accessories and interiors on a slimmer budget? Here is my favourite Top 5 (in no particular order):

Argos

You can always rely on Argos to stock what you’re looking for can’t you?! Ok, maybe not everyone’s cup of tea. Sometimes a bit too cheap and cheerful but a great place to find a bargain.

Supermarkets

We have a huge Tesco Home near us and I do like it. Its style is modern and practical and it’s really good value. Sainsburys and Asda do good accessories too although I’ve not actually seen their full range in the flesh, and sometimes they’re not quite my style, but always worth a look.

Next Home

Well ok, Next Home isn’t always that cheap, but it’s not overpriced, and I really love some of their ranges. And if you shop from the catalogue you can spread the cost with no added interest! I’ve always liked their rugs, love their bedding, and shopping there is always a bit sweeter if you can face the Half Price sale.

Home Sense

If you are lucky to have a store nearby then great! The sister company of TKMaxx, they sell furniture and accessories from around the world at up to 60% off the RRP.

DIY Stores – B&Q/Homebase

Fabulous for home and garden accessories. I love Homebase furniture too. Affordable, practical and stylish.

I probably could have carried on. I probably could have mentioned IKEA again, but I’ve already covered it here!

So, what do you think? How many, out of the 5, have you shopped in for home interiors? And is there anywhere else you’d recommend for budget chic for the home?!

Tesco Home is in Netherfield! I did debate on whether to include Next, but the sale option did it for me. And yes, Dunelm was there on the list too. Great choice!
