That might be a confusing title I guess, but if you’ve persevered and are reading the post then let me explain.
Regular readers might now that at this time of year, all the brands start showcasing their A/W and even their Christmas lines. It’s called Christmas in July and is traditionally done for the magazines who are preparing their copies for this period.
Us bloggers tend not to do that of course, writing very much on what’s happening at the moment, but last week I went along as a guest of H&M Home to a wonderful hotel to view their new range.
The Pig Near Bath Hotel:
As you can see, the hotel was absolutely stunning. More about that coming over on my travel blog, We Blog Travel very soon, but let me tell you a little about it now. Situated just outside the beautiful city of Bath (I really want to explore here more) is a stunning country house hotel called The Pig near Bath. From the outside it looks all old school and glorious, but on the inside it’s sumptuous, decadent and surprisingly contemporary in lots of ways. With an impeccable attention to detail, the hotel is a world away from reality, a truly inspiring location and setting for what we were about to see.
Showcasing the H&M Home A/W Collection:
We were you aware that H&M had a homes range. I know lots of people aren’t that familiar with it, particularly if you’re not lucky enough to have a store close by that houses the range. It is all available online though, and I’ve featured it on the blog a few times now.
The new Autumn and Winter ranges blended beautifully with the regal backdrop of the The Pig’s old world interior; quite a surprise for a brand that shouts contemporary really. We saw lots of texture and natural fabrics, bronzes and golds, neutral colours and of course plants. Plants will still be playing a big part in our interiors next season thankfully.
There’s a real focus on artisanal crafts, knitted texture and hand drawn prints. It’s a look that will work for many different home styles. With colours focusing on the neutrals with deep greys and ocean blues, there’s a real feeling of nature that’s authentic and true.
I know we don’t need to think about Autumn just yet, but I do like to feature what’s coming along and show how the brands are driving our tastes and purchases for the coming season.
You can shop the latest H&M Home ranges online at their website, or check out your local store for more of the collections. Products are great quality but very reasonably priced. And of course, very on-trend.
Thanks to H&M Home for hosting the event and showcasing their new range. All words and opinions are my own.
