Wallpaper Wednesday: A Striking Retro Pendant Wallpaper from Dwell

Have you come across Dwell? You might be lucky enough to live in a city with a Dwell store, or have the Dwell catalogue. I do like their style. But who knew that Dwell stocked Wallpaper? Not me. Browsing the Dwell website I came across their smallish range and just love this one in particular.

As in last week’s Wallpaper Wednesday post, I’ve gone for something bold and dramatic. A very dark background with retro pendant shapes in hues of blues and greens with a metallic edge. Just fabulous. Not twee, not pretty, not soft or gentle. Just fantastically retro, with clean, sharp lines and gorgeous colours. I would put this …..ANYWHERE. Lounge, dining room, bedroom or kitchen this could look great in any scheme. Obviously your house has to lend itself to a mid-century style, and maybe you want to use it only on one feature wall, but why not give it a go. You definitely won’t regret it.

Now if you like this pattern but want something calmer why not try it in a different colour way. On a silver background with grey outlines and metallic tinges, this one has just as much impact but is just that little bit more subtle. Another one for my mood board perhaps for the soon to be revamped dining room.

The Dwell Pendant wallpaper is available in some stores and on their website and retails for £49 per roll. It’s not the cheapest wallpaper but then the best designs never are!
