Wallpaper Wednesday: Frames by Graham and Brown

I found this great wallpaper for today’s Wallpaper Wednesday feature that I think you will either love or hate! I would love to know what you think – could you handle it?! I have to say I’m undecided. It’s called Frames and is made by Graham and Brown. Let your inner creativity loose and colour away to create your own wallpaper masterpiece. Or better still, tell the kids this is the one time that they are allowed to colour on the walls!

I love the Frames wallpaper featured on MadeByGirl blog a few years ago – she made her own version.

Frames by Graham and Brown retails at around £18 per roll.

I’m a bit on the fence with this one, I love the idea of it but I think my 20 month old needs to be a bit older to understand the concept of “you only draw where I tell you”. Now, if it wasn’t a wallpaper, but a roll of paper with the same pattern, something that you could easily extend, cut the length you want to fit over a table, a wall or cover a bit of floor and then let the whole family draw, grown-ups included. In that case, perhaps it could be supplied with double sided sticky tape or something and at a better value (as it wouldn’t have to be wallpaper), that could well work for us as a family and I think it would be great fun.

But I guess that defeats the purpose of “Wallpaper Wednesday”! Sorry.

Now there’s an idea for Graham and Brown Maria! Perhaps a whole range of family friendly ‘Frames’ related products would work brilliantly well 🙂

Perhaps we should let them know! I’d definitely buy it.

I could perhaps have it on one wall in the playroom?

One wall would be about all I could take I think. I think it could make a great feature, perhaps above my daughter’s new desk, or on the chimney breast. I do like the idea of it though and apparently, it’s very popular.

I love it and would definitely have it up in my house 🙂

I think this looks great…in theory!! I love the idea of it but the reality, I think, would be the children being ‘creative’ all over that wall and then using their new found skills to redecorate the remainder of the house! Too risky for me.

However, if you were a bit arty/creative yourself, it might be good to have in your studio/workshop and you could colour it in yourself (no children zone) – now I like that idea a lot!
