So this week I’m bringing you Wallpaper Wednesday with a twist. As you probably know I’m a big fan of Pinterest and love finding homes and interiors inspirations on there. On of my favourite boards is of course, my Wallpaper board where I not only collect images of lovely wallpaper but also look out for great ideas for wallpaper upcycling. Wallpaper isn’t just for walls you know.
So this week I want to show you a few of my favourite ideas and hopefully give you some inspiration for how you can use your favourite wallpaper in your home.
Wallpaper Upcycling Wall Storage:
This first idea is a simple one and a great way to add unique interest to your walls. Look out for some old drawers in different sizes, insert your favourite left over wallpaper and arrange on the wall for a quirky wall display or storage for your treasures. Great for a kid’s room too.
Wallpaper Upcycling on Stairs:
If you’ve never come across this before you may be a little taken aback but I just love this idea. Great for old houses and big hallways, here you can strip back the carpet and really add some interest with different types of wallpaper. Choose your favourite and really give it unique look.
Wallpaper Upcycled Shelves:
This looks so pretty and could be done on ordinary bookcases too. I love the vintage collection of wallpapers used here but you don’t necessarily have to be so quirky, you could just choose two of your favourite coordinating wallpapers and use them alternately on the backing for a more uniform effect.
Wallpaper Upcycled Coffee Table:
If a vintage retro print isn’t for you not to worry, you could choose any wallpaper for this project and include it in your room decor. This one is from folksy.com but you could come up with your own ideas to create something unique for you.
You can do this to any degree by just adding a small piece inside the wardrobe itself or going all the way as in this image and add wallpaper to great effect on every area. Coordinating with the wallcolour like this will really give a unified look.
Wallpaper Upcycling for your Gadgets:
Don’ think that upcycling is just for your furniture. I love this fun and quirky wallpaper upcycled radio! What a great way to help your gadgets blend into the decor.
