Add Winter Metallics to Your Home
Metallics for the home are huge this Winter. As a trend, we’re seeing it in all the major high street stores, from simple copper candlesticks to more lavish light fittings and, of course, Christmas decorations. It’s simple to add just a few pieces into your current decor, or really go for it, and bring the metallic look to life across your home.
The most popular shades right now are Copper, which has been around for a little while but has really hit the mainstream this season, and more recently we’ve seen Rose Gold coming through. Both colours are rich, warm and ideal for the Winter months.

It’s easy to put this kind of look together, and easy to find key pieces to add to your current decor.
I’ve created a Winter Metallics eBay Collection which is a selection of my favourite finds across eBay that will help you create this effect in your own home.
Here are a few of my finds just to whet your appetite.
Wallpaper:
You know I’m a huge wallpaper fan, and there are some lovely metallics sheen wallpapers around that will help bring this look into your home. I’ve showcased a few here, but there are a few more on the Collection itself, and I’ll be adding more as I find them.
Lighting:
This is a really easy way to update your home and adding a statement copper light can create a real focal point. I’ve included a few statement lights in the Collection, one of which I have in my own home already, and I’d highly recommend.
Accessories:
If you don’t want to add too much of the metallics look to your home, then just add a few accessories here and there. They work best with warmer toned decor, or more contemporary, bright schemes but try out one or two cushions perhaps and see how it goes.

I’ve never been a fan of metallics until now, but I’ve found myself attracted to all that burnished copper; the wire baskets and slightly battered vintage signs. Love that fruit bowl!
