Well summer may have finally arrived, but we are all starting to talk about what’s coming up in the new Autumn/Winter 2016 lines. Today, I’ve got my first preview, and I’m thrilled to share some of my favourites from Heart of House at Argos.
You know that I’m all about great inspirational design, that’s achievable too, and so I’m proud to share both high street and more ‘designer’ brands with you, giving you ideas and advice from across the board. It’s then up to you how you interpret these pieces and looks in your own home, and how you inject your personality into your selection.
If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know I have a tendency towards a Scandi decor, and so this collection suits me perfectly. Packed with soft colours, light woods and a splash of teal here and there, you could easily pick a piece or two from this range and mix it into your current home. Or why not go all out and treat yourself to a whole new look? Bedding is simple in plain greys and textured whites, whilst cushions and rugs are plain, soft and crisp.
Now florals aren’t always my thing but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a soft French inspired collection, and see how it can work in a bedroom particularly. The print is subtle enough that it’s easy to mix with block colour and still feel fresh and not too feminine, if that’s what you want. Alternatively, if the french print design is your thing, go for it, and create your own seductive boudoir.
Is something more sophisticated and grand your style? Do you like to mix some timeless classics with plush accessories and feel good textures? If so, I think you’ll like this Heart of House collection in particular. Think mirrored furniture, lots of glass, dark woods and soft, squishy sofas. This is a look for the grown ups who want to create a little boutique hotel feeling right in their very own homes. And who wouldn’t want to give that a go, right?
I think this last one gives itself away just by its name. And it’s a look that’s so popular in homes right now. Think rustic, country charm with rich greens and natural hues, reminiscent of the great outdoors. The natural textures and wood focused collection will transport you to your favourite holiday cottage, and then some. The colours are rich and the textures are cosy, perfect for the season and ideal for snuggling together with the family when the winter finally arrives. I know we don’t want to think about winter just yet whilst the sun is still shining, but these pieces are available right now, and sometimes it’s good to take a look at the fresh products. I for one am a little bit tired of all things botanical right now.
Ok so like I said, all of these collections are now available from Heart of House at Argos so if you fancy treating yourself to a few new pieces, head on over for there for a gander and little online shopping. Oh and there’s also a 3 year guarantee on all furniture! Now that’s cool.
