One of the most difficult aspects of designing and decorating your home is researching and finding the perfect items.
It’s not easy. There’s a huge selection of websites and stores to choose from.
How do you trust them?
How do you find the best ones?
How do you save time searching?
Well I’ve found something that might help.
Favi – a diverse marketplace for buying furniture and other home accessories from a wide selection of quality retailers all in one place
Allow me to show you around and highlight some of the best bits I’ve discovered.
Let’s focus on a few areas of the Favi website. Furniture is one of the main ones.
You can hunt for anything and everything from sofas, to office, bathroom and children’s furniture alongside storage and garden and patio sets.
Within each category is the ability to search for keywords and categories, narrowing down your hunt even further.
Once you see something you love, click on the item and be taken direct to the retailers website.
Favi takes out the hard work of hunting the internet and loves to support the smaller brand too. I love that it is keen to give more exposure to the lesser known retailers.
I always struggle to find good rugs. There are lots of great websites that sell them, but narrowing down what I want is always hard.
There are a couple of features that I love on the Favi website.
On each category you find tabs for both the most expensive and cheapest products.
A quick click and you’re taken straight to the list.
There aren’t many places you can find such a diversity of products.
This one above is one of the most expensive rugs on the site (from Nanimarquina who I happened to meet on a Design Tour of Spain a few years ago).
Click onto another tab and you’re taken to rugs at the other end of the budget.
There really is something for all budgets and tastes.
Whatever website I’m on, one of the quickest and most effective ways to search is to look at the most popular items.
We all love to know what other people like, to save us time searching.
And Favi have that sorted too, with their ‘Favourited by Customers’ tab.
This is a great place to start when you’re researching and I’ve easily found some great pieces I love.
What about the rest of the house?
Need something to upgrade your bedroom? No problem.
Use the tabs at the top of the page to refine your search to a particular room.
Then refine further to particular pieces of interest. Dressing tables for example.
I found this one from Ercol which really caught my eye.
I’m always drawn to a minimal, mid century design and this one has bags of style and plenty of functionality.
What about some soft furnishings? Some bedding perhaps.
As with the other categories I’ve explored, there’s plenty on offer.
I found this bold floral print with gorgeous red accents from £80. Well worth looking at.
So, are you interested to give it a go? Do let me know if you have a look and what you make of it.
