Recently, I had the great pleasure of taking part in the panel selection day for Nottingham’s premier craft selling event, LUSTRE. Hosted at Lakeside Arts Centre, Lustre is one of the UK’s leading contemporary craft selling market, and draws in makers and buyers from all over the midlands, and country.
During this special weekend at Lakeside you’ll find over 75 of the country’s finest contemporary craft makers selling everything from fine jewellery, bags and hats, to ceramics, glass and tableware.
This year Lustre will run during the weekend of 14-16th November at Lakeside, and our panel selection day was spent looking through hundreds of applications from all kinds of makers, including those who had exhibited at Lustre in previous years, and those brand new to the show.
What an amazing day!
If you love innovative, contemporary jewellery and home accessories, then you’ll love Lustre.
We chose a beautiful selection of crafts from funky, unusual jewellery, to wonderful textiles, and stylish, innovative ceramics. Each maker applies to the panel, and if successful, is invited to have a stand at the show over the event weekend.
Here’s just a small selection of some of the amazing products you can expect to see this year at LUSTRE.

I’ll be following and writing about the Young Meteors Selection later this month for example, where Lustre experts select some of the most cutting-edge work produced by recent graduates of the region’s top universities.
We will also be looking at the Workshops run by selected makers at Lakeside later in the year, and learning how they go about creating some of their amazing works.
So do follow the news and events as they occur each month, and why not subscribe to the Newsletter to keep up to date with all the exclusive top tips, giveaways and more.
