For the last few weeks I’ve been undertaking a Molton Brown home fragrances review. I know, what a hardship right?
If you’re like me and can’t resist a good candle, you might be interested to know a little more about these from Molton Brown. Were you aware that Molton Brown even made home fragrances? I have to admit that I wasn’t.
I’ve been a fan for many years though. I remember receiving a beautiful beauty set from my work colleagues when I left to go on maternity leave with my eldest daughter. I’ve always loved their products and think they make beautiful gifts, but what about these candles, room scents and reed sticks?
Well here’s what I thought.
I think you can see from the outset that the packaging and branding is identical to the beauty products and gives you the same feeling of confidence in the product as they do. They feel good too. Solid, heavy and good quality.
You might notice from the images that the candle is unused. Well since taking the photos I have burned it and can say that it burns slowly and evenly, and fills the room with an undeniably relaxing scent.
This set is Ylang Ylang, with top notes of cardamon, tangerine and ginger. Next are hints of ylang ylang, jasmine and rose, with a base of vanilla, cedarwood and musk. That’s a lot of fragrance in one product, but it works really well and I love it.
I housed the reed sticks in our loft bedroom, and within hours the rooms was filled with the distinctive aroma.
The room spray (I’ve never used one before!) has been sitting in my office and I frequently douse the room to help calm me and create a soothing atmosphere when I’m working. It can also be sprayed on bed linen or your pillow before bedtime to help ease you into a peaceful sleep. I admit I’ve not tried this; I’m not sure the Husband would appreciate it, but I do think the scent is the perfect antidote to a busy lifestyle. And that’s got to be a good thing.
I’m taken with the styling and look of the products too. All of the home fragrance ranges are packaged in bright, vibrant colours, bang on trend and perfect for any style of home. I haven’t over styled them in my images, wanting to really show you the products and not over complicate the pictures. I’m sure you agree they look very stylish on their own without any extra fuss.
So what do you think? Are these the kind of products you’d try in your own home?
