Wallpaper Wednesday: Penguin Library by Osborne and Little

penguin library wallpaper by Osborne and Little

I couldn’t resist this wallpaper when I saw it the other day. Whilst browsing one of my favourite walllpaper sites, www.wallpaperdirect.co.uk and looking at the range they are exhibiting at the moment at the Ideal Home Show, I was blown away by this one.

Penguin Library by Osborne and Little is produced with kind permission from Penguin and is a collage of all of the early iconic Penguin titles. The very first paperback, Ariel, published in 1935 is included. The layout of the books has been chosen very carefully to balance the colour and many of the books are depicted in their well-loved and well-read state adding to the authenticity. With the trend for library wallpaper not diminishing, I thought this was a classic version that will stand the test of time.

If you love books, if you love book wallpaper, then this one is for you. Pop it in an alcove, a study, a bedroom, but wouldn’t it look fantastic in a downstairs loo! You don’t need much but the time you’d spend browsing the titles would well worth it. How many have you read?

Penguin Library is available at wallpaperdirect.co.uk for £65 per roll. It is on display at the Ideal Home Show if you want a closer look.
