Bespoke Carpet Runner Review and Giveaway worth £150

I’ve been after a new hallway runner for a while so when Carpet Runners UK offering me a collaboration, I started researching their website. I always like to make sure I’m sharing great companies and products on the blog, so after checking them out I was excited to try their service, and to be able to offer you the chance to do the same.

Carpet Runners UK offers made to measure hallway runners, stair runners and landing carpet from a whole range of carpets and designs. Simply choose your favourite, put in your measurements and they will make a runner for you. Such a great idea!

They have very kindly gifted a £150 voucher to spend on their website for your next hallway runner, or to put towards a stair runner. Let me show you how mine looks, I’m so pleased with it.

I chose a traditional style Axminster wool plush pile in Emir Red. Whilst my home is contemporary in its decor, I do love some of the more traditional designs and have had a runner similar to this in the past. The hallway had felt bland and the old runner just didn’t work with the decor and needed brightening up. Say hello to these beautiful bright, bold colours!

It’s simple to choose your new runner, simple go with your favourite, measure up the space and put your values into the calculator.

The Axminster is one of the more expensive samples on the website, so at almost 2.5 metres long, this one is valued at just under £300.

The quality and depth of pile is amazing. It came really well packed and was quick and easy to lay. I couldn’t be happier.
There are over 300 designs on the website starting at just £4 for sample pieces so there is definitely something for all budgets.

  1. Contemporary style for me – I love that the runners can be any length as the new house we are moving to has quite a short hallway. Yours looks so lovely!

  2. I love your wall colour.
I wouldn’t have considered that rug with that wall co.our but somehow it works so well.
Think I’ll have a mooch at the whole range of rugs and try to be more adventurous in my choices.

  3. I have quite a traditional hallway, so I think I’d choose a more modern runner to cheer it up a bit!

  4. This is gorgeous, I have been looking for a carpet runner for ages so would love to win one of these! I would go traditional, something like the Badjar or the Amir to brighten up our hallway.

  5. Traditional as my house is a bit old fashion. Haven’t money to do it up and contemporary wouldn’t fit in.

  6. I really like the Moroccan style runners and after falling down the stairs twice – breaking bones – I think a stair runner would be very wise!

  7. i think id go with a more traditional runner! would be nice to have something to brighten the hallway!!

  8. Contemporary. I just plain bright colours, thats the colours I’m going to do my hallway. Got my eye on their festival plain red hallway runner

  9. I’d go for contemporary, i’m just on finishing our renovation of the hall so this would be fab!

  10. I would probably choose a more traditional type – as my home is quite eclectic and I love the ones that have that ethnic vibe to them,

  11. Think I would go for contemporary but we live in an old house so a traditional maybe more suitable in some of the rooms

  12. I like both styles, it’s more about adding a splash of colour for me and making the house look welcoming.

  13. I’d probably pick something contemporary, but all of their designs are lovely it’d be really hard to choose!

  14. I’d choose a more contemporary style, maybe just a plain one. I find patterned a little fussy!

  15. I would probably pick a more modern design – something like the Quirky B Margo Selby Annie 7080 one.

  16. I’d choose one of the more contemporary patterns. We have a narrow hall that can’t take anything too busily patterened.

  17. i would pick a more contemporary design as my house is a new build and traditional wouldnt look right

  18. I love the look of the one you’ve chosen in your hallway, but I’d need something more contemporary to go with my decor.

  19. i have to agree with you. i prefer traditional as my home is also modern. i like a mixture of both and find traditional brings character to the hall!

  20. I would choose traditional. I feel this particular style gives such a welcming feel and reminds me of my childhood where it was always nice to get back to our cosy home after being out in the cold, getting into my pyjamas and Mum making me a large mug of hot chocolate 🙂 x

  21. I have a Georgian town house and although the facade remains the traditional interior was stripped away long ago. Rather than try to recreate it we are trying to mix contemporary and traditional sympathetically. I would probably go for a contemporary runner for my hallway

  22. We’ve just got a new house and I think the Contemporary Style would be perfect! in a neutral grey! Gorgeous 🙂

  23. I’d choose a contemporary look, not sure what colour as this could inspire me to decorate the hall!

  24. Definitely traditional – in fact the one in the picture is very similar to the large rug we have in our living room so I’d certainly be looking for something similar if I was lucky enough to win :o)

  25. Traditional for me. I like hallways to be warm and welcoming and for me traditional works best for me.

  26. despie the houe being from the 1930 ‘s i’d choose a Contempory design, to fit in with my style

  27. a traditional- our hallway is going to be our last project and I plan on having dark laminate floor with a traditional runner I love the style

  28. I’ve got a traditional one at the mo so I’d choose a more contemporary one for a bit of a change

  29. I’d go for modern contemporary…. we’ve just finished decorating our hallway & it looks fabulous… it’s only taken us 4 months 🙁
This would be a wonderful finishing touch.

  30. I’d choose a more contemporary style rug. We’re going to be moving to a new house soon and I think a contemporary style would suit it better.
