Do you start preparing for Christmas and Home decorating early? I must admit, until I started blogging, and probably until I had school aged children, I didn’t go too mad. Now, I get bombarded by Christmas in October and the children seem to be planning for it since the beginning of term. Still, it does mean that you can get yourself organised before the mad rush in December, which is always a great feeling.
With that in mind, I wanted to share some of the products I’ve been looking at and reviewing in this article, with a view to encourage you to get organised and prepared before it all gets too much.
Oh Christmas Tree:
Firstly, if you’re in the market for a new Christmas tree, perhaps you’ll like this very sweet Blossom Tree from Christmas Tree World. I’m quite a fan of the more contemporary twig or blossom trees, and whilst I realise they’re not for everyone, even the children have quite taken to them. This one we’ve reviewed for our dining room/den where the girls like to have their own tree and decorate it with their own decorations. We did spend quite a while pushing the 120 little flowers onto all of the LED lights, but I think you’ll agree it was worth it.
What I love about these trees is the fact they can be used outdoors too. This is a 5ft Blossom Tree and at the time of writing is currently on offer for just £24.99, (normally £49.99) and available in Pink, Purple and Multicoloured as well as White.
Next up, it’s almost time to dust off the Advent Calendar and if you need or want a new one, head on over to Handpicked Collection and check out this gorgeous Advent Scandi House complete with lit Christmas scene. My girls are thrilled with this, and I can’t wait to fill it with chocs and little Advent surprises. It’s lightweight, comes in a slim box so will be easy to store, and I can see us using this for many years to come.
Handpicked Collection has a wealth of gifts for everyone in the family, and really is a vast array of intriguing and individual products. The Advent Calendar retails for £39.95, and whilst that’s a bit more than I normally spend, I think I would rather invest in this than the commercial Lego advents and so on.
One of the things I love about Winter, never mind Christmas, is being able to light a few well placed candles around the home. They make great gifts too. I’ve written before about my love of Neom Scented candles, and I’ve been trying out a scent called Comforting – a blend of Cedarwood, Vetiver and Star Anise, aimed to improve mood and decrease stress levels.
As well as smelling wonderful, and making me feel relaxed, this is the first Neom I’ve seen with the new packaging, and I think it looks sleek and minimal. Great for a contemporary home. You can see the full range of Neom Organics candles on their website if you fancy treating yourself, or a loved one. This particular one-wick candle retails for £30.
Part of getting prepared and organised for Christmas for me, means sprucing up the home, and this week I’ve been working with Photobox on an article for their blog. Having recently launched some brand new Photo Cushions, I tested the products, and photographed them at home, writing up a piece on how to style your sofa. I’m so impressed with the cushions, and their contemporary feel, that I thought I’d show you a few. They’d make great gifts if you’re looking for ideas too.
The cushions range in price from £26.99 for a small, up to £39.99 for the largest. The choice of styles, add-ons and photo editing is huge so you really can create something unique for your home. Check out the Photobox website here for more information.
So I do hope you’re starting to get into the spirit of Christmas. Do let me know if you’ve started preparations already.
Disclosure: Thanks to Christmas Tree World, NEOM Organics and Handpicked Collection for gifting the products for review. The Photobox cushions are part of an ongoing collaboration.
