I had recently been asked to put together my top Christmas home decorating tips for the Matalan website. Matalan are running a campaign this week to showcase lots of great Christmas Tips from lots of different bloggers. The tips are varied and include Christmas crafts, Christmas family traditions, as well as keeping cosy and stylish. All of these great ideas are gathered together on the Matalan Bloggers Corner where you can take a long read to help you prepare for the big day.
Putting together my tips for decorating your home this Christmas really got me thinking about how much we can stress about this time, wanting to make everything perfect so that everyone has the best time. In fact, we do this so much we often make ourselves ill. Take a look at my tips on the Matalan website and hopefully you will get the impression that it’s not all about creating the perfect home in they eyes of everyone else, but doing it in a way that makes you and those around you happy. You don’t have to go crazy and craft everything yourself, or go out and buy the biggest, best tree, or stand for hours on end baking and cooking. Keep everything in moderation and ensure you enjoy Christmas as much as the rest of the family.
Matalan are hosting a Twitter chat on Wednesday 11th December between 1pm and 2pm, and I’ll be there too tweeting all of of my top tips for creating a relaxing, stress free Christmas. There will be tips galore from not just Matalan but a lovely group of experienced bloggers too, so do look out for us and come and say hi. Perhaps you have some Christmas tips of your own that you’d like to share. There are prizes to be won for the best ideas and the best tips from the chat will make it into a Matalan blog post. So don’t forget, and look out for the #MatalanXmasTips party this Wednesday.
See you there!
