Find the Perfect Holiday Home: Pineapple Spa in The Cotswolds

Welcome to another post in my series of how to find beautiful holiday cottages in the UK. I’ve been travelling the UK with my family for 15 years and we’ve stayed all over, particularly in coastal areas and experienced a whole range of property types.

When I’m choosing a property for our UK break, I now know what to look for to ensure we get a home we enjoy spending time in. We love to experience properties designed and decorated in a different style to our own home, and so this feature showcases some beautiful holiday homes I feel you would love to spend time in.

This week’s featured property is Pineapple Spa, in Stow-on-the-Wold, the Cotswolds.

Location:

The Cotswolds has a very special place in my heart. I grew up not far away and spent a few holidays here so have strong memories of the area. It was also the first cottage holiday I did with my husband when we were expecting our eldest daughter.

So let me introduce you to Pineapple Spa, a Grade II listed spa with a wealth of original features. The cottage is nestled in a row of stone cottages and has an unusual style complemented by stylish interiors and characterful features.

Accommodation:

Perfect for 4 people, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, an enclosed garden and patio and a log burning fire.

Situated in a the small village of Lower Snell, the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold is a stone’s throw away and there’s easy access to neighbouring towns and villages, to include Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water and Burford.

Take in the grandness of the Georgian facade, enter the property and step back in time to the smallest spa in England.

Downstairs is the hallway, living room and kitchen. The master bedroom is on the first floor, and a second set of stairs lead to a further double bedroom and bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed garden, plus parking for 2 cars.

Bedrooms:

I love the decor in this home. It looks sumptuous, cosy and very good quality. It has a quirky grandness mixed with original features creating something unique and interesting.

Having said that, the colour palette is muted and subtle and more likely to appeal to a broad selection of customers.

This is the king-sized bedroom on the first floor (above) and below you can see the country style decor of the top floor double bedroom

And just look at this stunning copper bath and gold wallpaper. There’s also a shower in the room too, so it’s both practical and stylish.

Living Space:

The beautiful living room is plush and comfortable. With gorgeous soft furnishings on the quality sofas, high ceilings, a show stopping chandelier and gilded mirror sitting proudly above the fire place with wood burner.

Kitchen:

Whilst this particular cottage doesn’t accept children, it makes a wonderful place to getaway with some adult friends. Two couples would love this beautiful setting and enjoy the wonderful countryside and country walks.

The kitchen is kitted out with an electric range oven and hob, microwave, espresso machine, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Perfect! It has everything you could need.

Outdoors:

The enclosed garden has a deck and patio area with seating for 4 people. It looks like a suntrap and a very lovely area to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings.

And whilst you’re there why not check out their full range of stunning cottages for your next UK holiday.
