Balsam Hill Tree Styling with Leonard Cheshire Charity Home

For my Christmas tree styling with Balsam Hill this year, I decided to gift my tree over to a wonderful local charity.

I say local, in fact Leonard Cheshire, an organisation which supports disabled adults, enabling them to live fully and independently whatever their ability, is a worldwide charity. There just happens to be a residential home not far from where I live.

This is the charity I chose to work with and provide them with a beautiful tree and decorations for their newly decorated lounge area.

Balsam Hill provided all the wonderful pieces for this project, including the most beautiful tree and all of the stunning decorations and I spent a fun-filled afternoon at the home setting it all up.

The service users enjoyed the Christmas music whilst helping me decorate the tree and I’ve left the stunning arrangement in their hands for many more Christmases to come.

Let me show you the set up in more detail and talk you through the pieces I’ve used.

I chose them specifically for the home, wanting the style and feel of the tree to represent the residence and its character.

The ‘theme’ is a classic gold and silver design, with touches of cream, champagne and arctic blue. Using a base of beautiful Winter Wishes baubles in a hand painted design in gold glitter, I added sparkling chains of crystals, faux pearls, and gold accents from top to bottom.

I also hung Icy Teardrop baubles each embellished with glitter and pearlescent beads that reflect light. In places I grouped these for more impact and they looked stunning.

The finishing touch was the set of Blue Champagne Glitter Picks – lavishly embellished with champagne gold glitter, these hand-wrapped picks feature textured petals in a champagne-blue gradient and gold tone. Simply open them up and push into your chosen spot on the tree. They really fill the spaces and complete the look.

The tree itself was a 6′ Canadian Blue Green Spruce prelit in clear LED lights.

Beautifully crafted and coming with multiple sets of gloves to help you prepare the branches, it’s lush and full – the best setting for the classic Christmas decorations.

The tree was finished top and bottom with an Angel Tree Topper and a Faux Fur Christmas Tree Skirt.

The topper gives the tree a very traditional theme in keeping with the home and its decor, plus the tree skirt is soft and warming – the perfect accompaniment to the mushroom coloured walls in the lounge.

Aw, Jen this has warmed my heart. Our Xmas tree is a Balsam Hill one and it’s such good quality and will last for years. What I hadn’t realised was that they also do baubles and decorations – and that tree skirt is fantastic. X

Oh Jen, this is SO LOVELY!! What a gorgeous tree and you are such a sweetheart donating your time and the tree to them for them to enjoy over the holidays. Balsam Hill does have some beautiful things – I’m already eyeing up a few things for my tree and decor for next year 🙂 xx

Oh Jen what a lovely thing to do. I’m sure the residents will really appreciate that beautiful tree over the festive period. I’ve been eyeing up new trees this year but I’m really struggling to find something tiny but realistic. Will go check out Balsalm Hill to see what they have on offer!
