Roberts Radio Revival iStream 3 Review

I’ve been trying out the Roberts Radio Revival iStream 3 recently and wanted to show you how it looks in my home and what I think of this updated version of a classic.

I grew up with a Roberts Radio. We all know their iconic style and make.

My parents still have one in their home; the Roberts Radio is a true British classic which we all know and love.

So, I was thrilled to see they’ve given this trusty product a modern update.

The Revival iStream 3 has Bluetooth connectivity and allows in-built streaming capability from sites like Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music. You can even connect to Alexa.

Furthermore, as you can see from these images, it’s had a fabulous style makeover too.

The Revival iStream 3 is available in 10 different colours.

I’ve chosen it in Teal Blue – a beautiful, rich shade which has a particular retro look yet works easily in my contemporary decor. I was surprised how easily it fitted into several different rooms in my home actually. Even choosing a strong colour like this doesn’t mean it will look out of place in different decors.

Of course, I knew it would look wonderful in my dark blue living room, and this is where I’ve been using it the most.

Setup is straightforward enough and there are various ways you can connect it to your WiFi. I used the display panel to add our network’s password, but you can use WPS too. It takes just a few minutes to get it working.

You can use batteries – there’s even built-in charging for rechargeable batteries – or connect via the mains. It can be as portable as you want to make it.

I spend quite a lot of time on this sofa below in our brighter, pink dining den. When the light is fading, this room still feels airy and bright, unlike the living room. So when I need a boost of daylight, this is where I come.

The Revival iStream 3 fits neatly on the side table meaning I can spend time here listening to my Spotify Playlist or a Podcast.

Adele is one of my favourites and her voice sounds simply beautiful through the Revival iStream 3. The sound is stunning.

The 6 position equaliser allows you to select a preset sound setting suited to the type of music you’re streaming.

Furthermore, the app UNDOK allows you to control the radio, setting up and updating the system, but I’ve just used my phone to be honest, and connected via Bluetooth or used Spotify. It’s perfectly easy and straightforward.

So, now this means I can sit and listen to music, either from the DAB radio – I do like a little Virgin Radio – or play my favourite playlist. I often used to stream on my laptop but the sound just isn’t as good as the Revival iStream 3. It’s a hand-crafted speaker so I’d expect nothing less.

You can also listen to worldwide radio via the internet radio station, or choose from one of the preset channels.

Oh and did I mention there are two alarm functions too? Choose from the buzzer or radio to alert you.

I can’t fault it. The clever people at Roberts Radio have thought of everything.

It looks fabulous, is a wonderful addition to my home AND it performs superbly too.

Christmas is coming! Wouldn’t this make the most wonderful gift? Why not treat someone you love, or perhaps even yourself.

What colour would you choose?

My favourites include –

  • Teal Blue (of course)
  • Dusky Pink
  • Berry Red
  • Midnight Blue

But why not check them out for yourself and find one that suits your home decor

The Roberts Radio Revival iStream 3 retails for £199.99.

Love how the radio gives off a kind of vintage antique feel. In an age dominated by handheld touch screens, this radio provides a refreshing and unique addition to households.
