I would love to collect dried wood with my family on our country walks, it will keep the children busy, get them running round, feeling that they are contributing to the family, it will decrease my energy bills which are really high in the winter when we are all in the home, and the yellow glow of a woodburner will turn my house into a home, I will even buy my husband a chimney sweeping kit for Christmas, and be on the lookout for a chimney liner to keep the smoke where it should be.

Definitely makes hibernating through the winter months, much more pleasurable x

  27. I love the crackling of the wood and the warmth and comfort. Nothing better than sitting in front of a wood stove.

  37. They’re great for enhancing your mental wellbeing; relaxing by the fire, watching the flames and enjoying the warmth.

  38. Hello, a thing I love about wood burning stoves is listening to the sound of the wood crackling away when there is a fire in it. I also love how warm they can make a room. Thank you for the chance to win one.

  39. I love being snuggled up on the sofa, in front of a warming fire, with a mug of hot chocolate and a good movie! bliss!

  40. It would save so much on my electric costs and would likely actually heat the place quicker than my electric fire does!

  41. When we have had the opportunity to use a wood burning stove, I take pleasure in the whole process. From prepping before lighting the fire, to basking in the comforting glow and watching the gentle flames.

  42. I love cuddling up on a winter’s night on my favourite chair by the log burner reading a good book. We inherited ours with our cottage. It’s wonderful, but getting on in years now.

  43. A wood burning stove makes a lovely focal point to a room and they pump out the heat, right to the top of the house, so a reasonably priced source of heat.

  44. Burning logs is far more environmentally friendly than burning coal and keeps the house beautifully warm just the same. I love the look of this wood burner, stylish enough for both an informal and formal room.

  49. I love the smell of the wood burning. Strange I know, but lovely when you are relaxing in the evening!

  50. I love fireplaces but stoves are easier to maintain and clean and are more economical than open fireplaces.

  51. With the lights low and a bottle of win, a comfortable sofa and a throw with good company, having a fire in a wood stove is my perfect way to relax.

  52. Being warm and cosy.. Central Heating with radiators doesn’t give that kind of warmth or relaxing atmosphere. It makes a house a home.

  53. I love the heat which comes straight into a room from a stove without losing it up the chimney and it doesn’t produce the mess of an open fire.

  54. Reminds ne of holidays to the Scottish highlands when i was a little girl, a lovely cottage with a wood burning stove to keep us warm on chilly nights

  55. The thing I love most about a woodburning stove is the way it brings warmth into a room, acts as a focal point and encourages people to sit together in front of it. I think a stove like this creates a welcoming atmosphere. My partner’s dad has a woodburning stove in his cottage in Wales and it heats the whole cottage including the water and underfloor heating. We are about to move house and it will be the first property we’ve had where we could have a woodburning stove. As my partner is a tree surgeon we would also get most, if not all, of our wood for it from his work. This would be a fantastic prize and a great house-warming present as such. This would make a new house instantly feel like home.

  56. I love how these log burners bring an incredible wave of warmth to your living room. Appreciate the traditional cast iron material and the craftsmanship that designed it.

  57. Cast iron has excellent heat diffusing properties which allow the warmth generated to be radiated slowly into the room for a comfortable and even temperature. This log burner would fit beautifully in any fire place, even chic, modern interiors.

  58. The hypnotic effect of staring into the flames of a real fire not to mention cosying up in front of it with a cat and a book

  67. The atmosphere it creates – nothing is quite like a woodburning stove crackling away for creating a lovely cosy atmosphere!

  68. Lovely woodburner. Makes any lunge look so cosy and would be great in winter to snuggle up infront of.

  69. a cast iron wood burning stove makes such a difference to a room, the smell, the warmth and the lovely look of a real fire.
There is nothing better than walking into a room where there is a real log fire.

  70. I Love this because it looks so cozy and warm – Also the potential for ‘free’ fuel. I lived in a house where the only source of heat was a coal fire and I was constantly looking for sources of wood e.g. raiding skips – old lath and plaster wood makes for excellent kindling.

  71. The best thing is knowing you are building a grea5 fire and it whooshes into life as soon as you strike the match!! It’s very satisfying curing up with a good book and a glass of fizz in front of a roaring fire

  72. I love that it would be cheaper to run and it bring that feel of a classic time gone but that I would love to revisited, also looks really warm.

  73. It reminds me of sleepovers at my grandmas house, no central heating and all sitting round the fire cosy with hot chocolate, blankets and some usually terrible tv!

  74. I would love to give my living room a breath of fresh life with this gorgeous woodburning stove! I have always loved them x

  75. i live the feel it gives to a room, making a room seem cosy and warm even if just one log is burning.

  77. A wood burning stove just has so much more character than bog standard radiator! There is nothing cosier than snuggling up and watching the flames.

  78. What I love most about a woodburning stove is the fact that its free to fuel. My garden is huge plus I have access to mum and dads garden and when the trees have to be pruned the wood is left to season. I would be able to utilize all of the off cuts and watch the burner fire into life and flicker gently every evening throughout the cold days giving my house warmth and a homely glow.

  79. I love the warm cosy feel a wood burning stove gives a room. My nan had one in her living room and it’s a fond memory of her house.

  85. They give a room such atmosphere, you can dim the lights and the room transforms into a cosy, snuggly den.

  86. We replaced our open fireplace in the living room with a stove, and the heat generated is far better, there are no sparks, and it is easy to clean. If I won this, we would put it in our conservatory to replace the heater in there just now. It would cheer up the room and we would use it more in the cold weather.

  87. Besides the obvious snug, warmth benefits, the smell and sounds take me back to the open fire days of my childhood.

  88. I love the smell of burnt wood, without the pollution of an open fireplace. My gas fireplace looks like a wood burning stove, but It can’t compare otherwise to a real log burning stove.

  89. I find it very relaxing, and provides so much warmth from a relatively small amount of wood. Plus the smell and flickering of the flames makes me snooze lol

  90. The style of the stove is fantastic. Would look lovely in the front room in place of an old fireplace we have.

  91. We currently have an open fire which is nice but messy and not very efficient at warming the room. I have noticed when visiting friends with stoves how much warmer they make the room.

  92. I love how a woodburner instantly adds character to a room and you can’t beat the warm cosy feeling when the wind is howling outside

  93. I love the nice atmosphere of the burning fire – but it is much easier to deal with it in a log burner than with an open fire.

  99. I love going out with the kids, foraging for firewood, then returning and warming ourselves round the fire. It instills some important lessons in life…

  100. Not only would it remind me of my childhood ( house fill of open fires ) but it would also be such a money-saver for us as my fiance works for a joinery that scraps alot of wood, which he would be able to bring home free of charge for burning.

  101. i like to look a the natural flamse through the window most and a close second is the smell of fire reminding me of the country side

  102. I never knew how much I loved woodburning stoves until I visited a friend’s home several months ago; they have one installed and woah, the warmth and lovely flames made me all warm inside instantly. 111. Years ago my Uncle lived on a farm, and the best thing about it was the wood burning stove in the dining room, where I would lie on the floor reading my books, the scent of wood burning from then on always reminded me of some wonderful childhood carefree days, this would be so lovely to win, thank you x
