Garden Party Ideas for a Tween Birthday

Looking for ideas for a birthday party ideas for a tween girl, and thinking of being outdoors? Well we recently helped our 12-year-old celebrate her birthday, and thanks to Talking Tables we were able to decorate her table in a very fun fashion.

I’m a big fan of Talking Tables, I’ve used their pieces before for our younger daughter’s birthday in an Alice in Wonderland theme, and whilst doing research for my work on Oak Furnitureland’s blog, I came across the Fluorescent Floral range. Instantly I was hooked, and new this would be perfect for the tween celebrations.

It’s so tricky to please a tween girl, especially when she’s entertaining her friends, but ours is quite into design and fun decor, so I knew this would be perfect for her, and I was right. It went down a treat and looked even better with the sun shining. Her favourite pieces included the animals, the serviettes and the cut flower candles. They burned for quite a few hours and smelled divine.

The best bit for me had to be the fun Rhinos and Giraffes which make a great centrepiece, and can be used time and again in a fun home decor setting. (Expect to see these little fellas popping up from time to time on the blog in photos).

But one reason I knew the tween would love the range is the on trend typography on the cups and serviettes. Any girl who loves Instagram is going to love this; it’s modern, fresh and fun.

And one more clever idea with this range, is the great design of mix and match items. From hot pink, to blue florals, to dashes and dots, it all coordinates beautifully.

Of course, this range isn’t only for outdoors, in fact it’s not necessarily for an outdoor party at all. Any kind of party or celebration is perfect for this collection. It just happened that the weather was stunning on the day we celebrated, and so we held the tea party in the garden. With the vibrant colours it did look particularly stunning in the open air.
