Creating an Autumn Scandi Home with JYSK Nordic plus Giveaway

Today I’m really excited to be sharing one of my favourite looks with you, the Scandi Autumn home, with some help from JYSK. This is a look very close to my heart. It’s something I adopt in my own home, putting my own spin on it and adding some colourful accessories. I’m not very good at a plain white or grey interior, and as much as I love the photos, room sets and products, I always want to add some colour when I’m use them to create at home. So I thought I’d show you some of my favourite picks from JYSK, and just give some ideas on how I’d style them, with tips for incorporating them into your own home, my way.

Firstly though let me tell you a little bit more about JYSK. JYSK is an international retail chain that sells ‘everything for the home’, and which is owned by the original founder, Lars Larsen. In Danish, Jysk means anything or anyone from the Jutland Peninsula and is often associated with modesty, thoroughness and honesty, 3 values on which the company is based.

Living Room:

I’ve picked out this chair from the JYSK website as one of my fave picks. I know I said I’m not into the greys and whites BUT I would have this chair in my home in a heartbeat. It’s a great background canvas for colourful throws and cushions, and grey is going nowhere; it’s very much the big neutral that allows you develop your own touches to a colour scheme. It’s only £190 and you can see it HERE.

Dining Room:

These dining chairs with a black seat and solid oak legs give a stylish, sophisticated edge to a dining space, and I love the contrast of hard black against the soft whites and greys. Personally I’d add some pops of pink, yellow or orange to this kind of scheme to add my twist on it, but it’s up to you. If you love the styling of the scandi look but want more colour, just go for some great quality basics and add in colourful accessories as you need them.

Storage:

You can’t beat some beautiful storage, particularly something interesting and a little different. These storage shelves in a set of 3, allows you to add some colour to your walls in an alternative way to wall art. I just love these; they’re perfect for a scandi living room, or a nordic kid’s bedroom.

Although I think one would see some use in our yarden when the sun is shining- we have a bench and seat outside, but nowhere to prop our teapot!
