I’m so excited to tell you that, in a few week’s time I’m going to an interior design workshop, run by the fabulous Great Interior Design Challenge winner, Martin Holland.
Now I’m not an interior designer, which I’m sure is apparent from how I decorate my home. But I do love to put my own spin on interior design, as I’m sure you do, so it’s going to be great to learn from a pro and understand exactly how I should be doing it.
Martin has recently announced the launch of a series of interactive design workshops for interior enthusiasts everywhere. The first workshop takes place on 22 April 2017 at Scene Studios in Nottingham, which happens to be my home town, so I don’t even have to travel very far!
And check out this venue.
Isn’t that a fabulous space?
Martin of MartinMark Design, will host and present each of the eight hour workshops, to guide budding designers through the creative process, helping them to achieve design success in any space. Curated to include a mix of creative ideas and interior inspiration, along with practical hints and top insider tips.
The aim is to show guests interior design is a fun and enjoyable experience, giving them the tools to help get it right. Packed with talks, interactive sessions and expert advice, the workshops are supported by leading interiors brands, and give guests an opportunity to sample products from the ranges and find out how to use them to help pull schemes together.
Guest will be welcomed with coffee and pastries before getting down to business.
Highlights of the workshop include: the design process – where to start, space planning – layout and scale, colour pattern and texture, and a designer’s little black book. Whether it’s embarking on a new project, figuring out a signature style or simply having confidence in making design choices, guests will come away from the day brimming with ideas.
So if you fancy finding out more, or even joining me on the day to experience Martin’s expertise, check out the website HERE and get yourself booked in.
The day costs £160 with the following dates available:
Saturday 22nd April – Saturday 13th May – Saturday 3rd June – Saturday 23rd September – Saturday 14th October – Saturday 11th November.
I’ll report back from the first session and let you know how it went!
