Review: Strava Office Chair from Lakeland Furniture

As you may have guessed from yesterday’s post here, I’ve been finishing off the house renovations by creating my very own little home office. The furniture has been in for a week now, and I can’t tell you the difference it’s making to how I work, and how I feel about working. It’s quite something.

I’m going to give you a full room tour very soon, but in the meantime I wanted to show you this fabulous Strava office chair that I’ve reviewed for Lakeland Furniture.

Strava office chair Lakeland FurnitureI’ll be the first to admit that I often buy home pieces more for their aesthetics than their functionality, and I was warring internally about what kind of chairs to put in the office. We have two desks in there and some storage, so I can work comfortably and the husband can use his pc in the evenings if he wants to. We’ve actually found the children wanting to use it at the moment as it’s all new, but I’m sure the novelty will wear off. Anyway, the chairs needed to be practical but I really wanted them to look good too.

Strava office chairThat’s when I came across the Strava collection. In faux leather, they’re easy to keep clean and available in a variety of colours. They are height adjustable which is great for me and my little legs, and softly padded too. Whilst the back doesn’t recline, the chair does have a little swing or bounce when you lean back allowing you to sink into the seat more giving an extra comfort edge. And as you can see from the pictures, it sits on wheels allowing easy movement around the room. In fact, the carpet keeps them securely in place whereas I think they’d roll a lot more freely on a wooden floor.

It’s made working at my desk in the new office a complete pleasure, and I have a renewed spring in my step when I think of work. Couple that with the fact that I can look out of the window and my days are suddenly a lot more inspiring.

Lakeland furniture Strava office chairThe chair retails at £94.99 but at the time of writing is currently on sale at £79.99 each which I think is a pretty good price. It’s incredibly sturdy and well made and is going to last many years. One thing I might like is an adjustment on the arm covers which slip around slightly, leaving me with a tendency to fiddle with them. I’m definitely going to have to fight that urge so it stays in good condition.

Overall a big thumbs up from me. What do you think of them? Don’t they look great? If white isn’t for you, don’t worry they’re available in lots of other colours including grey and black.

Thanks to Lakeland Furniture for providing the chairs for the purposes of this review. All comments and opinions are honest and genuine. Thank you for supporting the blog partners.

Ooh just what I am looking for! Something stylish but is good for my back and neck.. I have burst a disc in my neck just now, waiting for the mri scan results and in so much pain. The painkillers don’t last more than about an hour and a half. And all from sitting too long at the computer in a dodgy old chair. Be warned peeps!

This looks great! My office has been the kitchen dumping ground during renovations, so I can’t wait to get back in!

Looks lovely Jen. And quite feminine in white. I normally think of office chairs as quite masculine but that’s not the case with this one. Good price too.

Awesome chair, looks both well designed and ergonomic.
Too bad it’s not for sale here in the US, or at least on amazon
