I know it’s been a long time! The last matress that we got was actually a gift from my Mom as I had a lot of problems in my pregnancy (my son is 5.5) so that was at least 6 years ago. Great giveaway! I’ve never tried a memory foam mattress but everyone tells me they are so comfortable. Our guest room mattress is ancient & desperately needs replacing so that’s our definite priority!
Cannot remember. I think we easily loose track of how old our mattress is. Maybe shops should / could date mattresses and bed bases for us :- When they are purchased. As most likely a lot of musculoskeletal pain / discomfort may be due to age / ‘wear and tear of mattress, bed, pillows, etc. As sofa and chairs could benefit from a similar dating record method. As delay in renewing worn products will impact on health and wellbeing. Poverty may well be one ISSUE which commonly impacts on these aspects of life / lifestyle.

The last time, I bought a new mattress was for my daughter’s bedroom about 4 years ago. Since then, I’ve needed to stop employment to take care of an ill family member which so we haven’t been financially able to buy a new one for our bed for over 10 years now. Instead, we invested in a mattress topper which is fine as a temporary measure but a new mattress would be ideal both physically and help relieve my insomnia which would have a great benefit on the whole family. We last had a mattress in 2016 when I was pregnant. I am now pregnant again and struggling with sleep as my hips and back are aching more than with my first pregnancy so this would be amazing!
A new mattress has never been a priority before. Only had second hand.

My mattress from new was about 10 years ago.. we couldn’t afford a brand new one so had to go second hand.. gross as it sounds., it was professionally cleaned before we slept on it…….

I slept on a memory foam mattress for years before i realized it was the wrong way up. I had no idea they even had a way up.

I bought one about 8 years ago and I still regard it as my new one although it’s probably had it’s day now.
Its been so long I honestly can’t remember, I do flip and turn every week to try to get the best out of it, but I think it has seen it day

It’s been years since we last treated ourselves to a new mattress and then we made the mistake of buying a hard one, thinking that it would soften up over time. Nope! It’s still as hard as ever and still gives us back ache every night.
I haven’t had my own new mattress in over 11 years. I’m moving soon and the biggest thing I’m excited about is buying a new bed and mattress just for us

2 months ago, on return from travelling in Europe for 2 years. All our furniture was in storage (Barr our mattress, we threw away) . The daughter had our guest bed and mattress and somehow it’s become my 7 year old granddaughters sleeping place ️ so now I need to source a new double bed for the spare room, winning this mattress would be a great start
Me and my other half have lived together 6 years and the mattress came with him when we moved in together. So never! We are well over due a new one!

I don’t think I’ve ever treated myself to a new one! My current mattress is a “hand-me-down” that used to be my daughter’s (or should that be a “hand-me-up” since I’m older?! Haha) and the one before that was a wedding present from many many moons ago!
