Holkham Estate Cottages: A Magical Holiday Home

Are you looking for a stunning holiday home right now? Well let me introduce you to the stunning Holkham Estate Cottages.

On the north Norfolk coast, the Holkham Estate is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and home to Holkham Hall, which sits proudly at the centre of the Estate with far-reaching views over the 25,000-acres of historic parkland and woodland.

One of the region’s finest and most recognisable Palladian country houses and the ancestral home of the Coke family for more than 400 years.

Holkham Bay, which is within walking distance of today’s featured cottages, is often regarded as one of Britain’s best beaches.

This really is a sublime location and these cottages I’m about to showcase give you the opportunity to stay in a most magical of settings, experiencing a period of calm, tranquility and stylish interiors.

Unplug and live the slow life. Relax and unwind in period, yet modern interiors and experience life in a truly wonderful space.

Holkham Estate Cottages:

Let me show you around these 4 Holkham Estate cottages which are featured through Norfolk Cottages holiday homes.

The Triumphal Arch

Billed as a “distinctive cottage where you’ll be the envy of the Holkham Estate visitor” this is a luxurious couples retreat which is tempting me to pack the kids away and enjoy some adult time with the husband.

The Triumphal Arch was designed by the renowned architect, William Kent, to impress travellers passing through to the North Norfolk coast.

With a kitchen and cloakroom on the ground floor, the spiral stairway takes you up to the shower room and loo, then at the very top of the stairs you are greeted with this…

South Lodge

South Lodge dates back to 1847 and was designed by well-known architect, S. S. Teulon. After some years of disrepair, the lodge has been restored and once again stands as sentinel to Holkham Hall and The Triumphal Arch on the Holkham Estate.

Palmers Folly

Another glorious couples retreat tucked away in the woodland – a fabulous Holkham Estate cottage.

The Folly is a Grade ll listed gatehouse with comfortable furnishings and tasteful décor. Quite the exclusive couples retreat, and you can even bring your four-legged friends for company.

The open plan living area is stylish, warm and inviting and styled in the perfect way for a country cottage. There’s nothing twee about this space though; it’s ideal as a country hideaway in quality, comfortable surroundings.

Now this is the room I’d definitely be spending all my time. The large King-size bed, armchairs and fireplace invite you to relax, read and kick back on your trip the Holkham Estate cottages.

A uniquely designed, romantic getaway within the peaceful setting of the Holkham Estate.

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a Grade ll listed gatehouse on a prestigious family Estate in North Norfolk. Palmers Lodge offers luxurious accommodation in the parkland of the Holkham Estate.

On the ground floor, the open plan sitting room, dining space and kitchen has comfort and style at its heart. But the real wow factor in this property is on the subterranean level.

Consisting of a snug with tv, a king-sized bed and bedroom and a glass atrium to allow you to view the star filled Norfolk skies. Originally the vaulted cellars this is a real gem of a property on the Holkham Estate.
