Our Favorite 10 Beige Room Color Schemes You’ll Love
Now let’s go a little deeper with some of my top beige color palettes that really look great in modern, contemporary homes. Beige isn’t as boring you might think, it’s such an easy color to use and creates a beautiful basis for exploration of bolder, brighter and creative color schemes.
Do let me know which of these gets your vote, and perhaps which you would use in your home.
1. Beige and Black

This classic color combination has a timeless appeal. Black really is the accent color beige has been waiting for. Adding to your beige, neutral base is the contemporary edge of a stunning, flat black. It adds sophistication and edge, giving the neutral background a chance to shine. Use beige with warm undertones when choosing your paint and accessories so the whole scheme doesn’t feel too clinical.
2. Beige with Olive Green
It seems everyone loves olive green in their home decor at the moment, it’s such a popular choice and good for coupling with a beige backdrop or accessories. Leaning towards nature’s true color scheme, you can’t go wrong pairing these natural shades together, which is perfect if you’re a little unsure in your interior design. If you’re looking for the perfect beige living room pop of color, this shade with its green undertones is perfect.
3. Beige with Navy Blue

Pops of navy blue alongside a warm neutral, beige base gives any room a richness and depth of character. It’s a color that’s starting to see a trend revival both in fashion and interiors – it offers warmth and a contemporary feel but isn’t as harsh as black and suits more tastes and homes. It’s great as a wall color, or a great way to add interest to living spaces in an area rug, throw pillows on a beige sofa, or a blanket on a bed.
4. Beige with Burnt Orange
Warm colors look stunning in a beige color scheme and we love the addition of a burnt orange to a beige backdrop. Its vibrancy brings the beige to life, and it naturally enhances the neutrality of the hue. As you can see from this image, its ideal for pairing with metallics and golds, plus the addition of a strong black completes the contemporary feel.
5. Beige with Dusty Pink
We couldn’t create a beige color palette list without including a pink! And a dusty pink too. It’s a great choice of pastel colors when you need a light color to life your room scheme. Choose a warm toned beige for matching with your rich, dusty pink shade and you’ll have a playful, modern and fun space that oozes personality and character.
6. Beige with Dark Brown
We could even extend this palette and suggest adding black to your dark brown and beige scheme. A beige palette works well with a brown color where the darker shades are used as accessories and accents. There’s a super contemporary, classy feel to a scheme that feels timeless. We love the look of it in this kitchen space but it could work equally as well in a dining room, or even a bathroom.
7. Beige with Mustard Yellow
If you’re going to add a mustard yellow to your beige paint or accessories, it’s important to choose your neutral color wisely. Ideally work with yellow toned beige shades which the mustard yellow can enhance – too rich and the scheme will clash. This would look perfect in a french country kitchen or a contemporary bathroom.
8. Beige with Emerald Green
To be fair, emerald green is a more versatile colour than you think, and that’s why it works well with many beige tones, particularly cool colors in this range. In fact, layer your beige and neutral shades, adding an emerald green center stage, like this stunning armchair, to give your room depth and character. You’ll allow the green to really shine.
9. Beige with Burgundy
Another modern, rich scheme that works so well. And why shouldn’t it. With beige walls or accessories, you’re created a beautiful backdrop for burgundy to glow but not dominate. It blends well with rich beige shades, and as you can see here, will complement an overall natural scheme with pops of green, brown and greys.
10. Beige with Terracotta
Terracotta, and in fact many rust based shades, have been on the trend radar for some time. So if you love them, but don’t want them to dominate, mix well with your favorite beige accessories to neutralise their impact.
Some of the Best Beige Paint Colors
There are so many different shades of beige it’s hard to know where to start.
Firstly you’ll want to decide if you love a warm beige or a cool beige for the space, and that might depend on the amount of light the room benefits from. It might also depend on your own personal preference. And it will depend on the color combination or color palette you’ve chosen.
So I’ve collated 10 of my favorite beige paint shades to help you get started.
