Summary

The Flexispot Desk Bike is easy to put together and quiet to use.

It’s heavy to move around but does offer great functionality and easy of use for staying active and fit whilst you work.

Today’s post is a Flexispot Desk Bike review all about the All In One Desk Bike. I think you’re going to like this!

Flexispot asked if I’d like to try a desk bike to go alongside their Standing Desk I reviewed a few months ago.

I jumped at the chance, mainly because I struggle to stay active with the amount of work I need to do in a day.  Having a bike at the desk seemed like the perfect solution to my relatively sedentary lifestyle.

So I’ve chosen the Flexispot All in One Desk Bike Deskcise Pro V.9

It arrived in 2 large boxes and took 20 minutes to put together. That was no problem at all.

I’ve been using it for several weeks now and here are my thoughts.

Flexispot Desk Bike Review

The bike I’ve chosen to review is the Flexispot Deskcise Pro, an adjustable bike that allows you exercise whilst you work.
What I really like about this bike in particular is that it’s a bike workstation too, meaning you can work away from your desk, looking out of the window as you work.

The idea with an office bike is that they keep you productive, allowing you to stay active, healthy and burn more calories.
Can a standing desk bike really help you stay fit? It’s a good question and I’ll talk a little more about my experience with this exercise desk bike in a moment.

If you’re going to use a desk bike chair – then you need to make certain adjustments. A bike desk definitely isn’t for everyone and my family have giggled their way through me using it! It takes a little adjustment to cycle while you work but my advice is to start on the low resistance settings and work you way up (I’m not very far along the resistance levels yet!)

Let’s look at some of the Flexispot Bike features:

1. A pneumatic adjustment lever allows you to adjust the seat to your desired height
2. An integrated digital display shows the readout for workout time, calories burned and speed.
3. A set of 8 resistance levels allow you to work from light activity to a more robust workout
4. This biking desk also has lockable castors, an comfortable seat and a spacious desk.

How have I used the Flexispot desk bike?

I’ve often wondered what it would be like to use a desk with bike to avoid being so sedentary. It’s something I’ve become more and more conscious of – sitting for long periods and struggling to get in enough steps or exercise in a day.
The standing cycle is a great solution so I was really keen to give this a go.

I use my sit stand workstation from Flexispot every single day, spending blocks of 20 minutes at a time in a standing position. That’s great for my back and general posture but I’m still not getting in the steps and activity I’d like.

I can now wheel the desk bike under the sit/stand desk for periods of time when I want to be a little more active. As this particular desk bike is also designed to be used in a standalone position it has it’s own small laptop desk. This can be removed with an allen key so you don’t have to use it at a standing desk. It would sit easily under a normal fixed desk.

For ease and simplicity I leave the desk tray on the bike so I can use it without the standing desk if I need to.

Then I can raise the standing desk and wheel the desk bike underneath it when I want to use my multiple screens and need more space.

Are under desk bikes good for exercise?

Well let’s just say I’m easily getting in my kilometres now! I don’t measure calories burnt, that’s not of interest to me personally, but I do love that I can get in easy movement and still work. In fact, I find it heightens my productivity.

I keep it at my desk, and it can slide underneath when it’s not in use to save space. The only thing I find is that it’s quite bulky and heavy. I had planned to use it in another room with the desk for my laptop but it’s not that easy to move around so I’ve not done that so much.

If you don’t have a standing desk then it’s perfect as it comes with it’s own sizeable desk area – which can be easily removed and stored if not in use.

Mentally I find it really helps my mood. I feel more energised and alive after a little session on the bike and love that I’m now getting in my exercise.

What is the best height adjustable desk?

A lot of people ask me about my standing desk from Flexispot – and I always tell them how much I love it, even after months of use I wonder how I ever coped without one.

So if you’re keen to try out a desk bike I do love my Flexispot Desk Bike and highly recommend it.

I have been intrigued by the desk bike. I used to go to spin classes several times a week but haven’t been since I had Covid last year. I am desperate to get back to exercise but find I am always at my desk. Definitely one to consider.

We have literally just set ours up today, and already my husband has taken over and is currently sat watching the football whilst cycling, he spends most of the day sitting at his desk, so i’m hoping I might get it back to try in the morning!!
