I absolutely adore having photos of my family and my children up on the walls in my home. So I was thrilled when Photo-Canvas asked me if I’d like to review a photo canvas for them and I couldn’t wait to get started. We don’t have anything like this at home and it’s been something I’ve wanted for a long time.
I chose a 30cm x 40cm colour splash canvas where the photo is turned into black and white and then certain colours within the image are retained. This is so modern and fits really well with the decor in my home that I went for it. The image I chose to use was from our recent holiday to Lanzarote. It’s hard to find a photo with both children together at the moment so this is a particular favourite. It was also Miss E’s birthday when this was taken.
The Photo-Canvas website was so easy to use, with a simple straightforward process. But what impressed me the most was the turnaround time; I couldn’t quite believe it! I approved the proof mid afternoon and it arrived at my front door the next morning. Quite simply amazing. And here’s the end result.
Doesn’t it look great?! I decided to colour splash the headbands just to add a little bit of fun to the print and I’m really pleased with it. Worth £47.99 I think this is pretty good value for something so lovely that will last for years to come.
So here’s the fun bit. Would you like to Win a Photo Canvas of your own?
Photo-Canvas would like to offer one lucky Love Chic Living reader a 30 x 40 canvas worth £39 in either:
- A regular canvas
- A Make your own Montage canvas (add multiple images on one canvas)
- A message canvas (add your own personalised message to the image)
To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is leave a comment and tell me:

I do prefer a camera – nothing grand just one that fits in my handbag. However should I be out and forget to take it out with me a mobile phone camera comes in handy.

Ventured in to the age of digital camera about 3yrs ago (pretty late in the great scheme of things) and since having my toddler, carry it around everywhere with me. Gutted as left it at a party the other week so have been without it since then although it has meant I’ve gotten a bit more use out of the camera on my phone.
Just a digital camera for me.

I use a digital camera
I take photos on my good old camera when I have it with me, but having a camera on the smart phone does make it so much easier to take random shots
I love to use my phone while we’re out and about cos it’s quick and easy, although nt always the best picture. If we’re mucking about at home or know we want to get some good shots, like the last day of preschool, we use Hubby’s Sony NEX.
He’s got a selection of lenses for it, so just have to pick the right one and sort the settings and you can get some really nice pictures with it.
At the moment I’m using my phone camera which isn’t great, as my digital camera needs fixing!

I use a digital camera as it takes much better photos than my phone
I use a normal camera, that’s what a camera is for, camera phones just don’t do it for me
I use my mobile phone as its always at hand. x
First, what a gorgeous photo of your girls! It really captures a mischievous spirit in the bigger one!
I use a phone for my photos – I do have a camera but it doesn’t talk to Vista. 🙁 I have a camcorder which take gorgeous still photos – but can I use it? LOL! By the time I find the photo function, the moment has gone, so I use my phone – that’s just one click of a button on the side!
Canvas print competition….
I often use my mobile as it is always close to hand – the unpredictability of the shots is usually interesting as well.
Digital camera ….if I remember to take it with me, if not my phone as it is always to hand.

I use both my digital camera and my smartphone, I got my camera at christmas and its slightly better quality than my phone, but my phone is always at hand compared to the camera.
I mostly use my smartphone then the PicsArt app to play around with the photos and have fun. Definitely need to print more of our photos off rather than have them sitting on memory cards.
I’ve liked on facebook 🙂
Have subscribed so I don’t miss any more lovely posts 🙂
I love using my husbands Nikon P100 camera which is a bridge camera…it takes amazing photos of the moon, you can even see it’s craters! Then I like to play around in Photoshop but I need to go to college to learn how to use it properly. 🙂

Just a normal digital camera. It’s not one of these all-singing all-dancing ones but it’s not bad. 🙂 I use my cameraphone when I don’t have the ‘proper’ camera on me.
Shared on FB and Twitter. 🙂
I used a Canon Powershot but it broke at the weekend. I am now using my camera phone until I get a replacement camera.

I’ve got a very basic olympuc digital camera. I’m used ot it and have captured some great pics but because it has a square to show where the lens is focused, when others try to take pics on me they can’t get the square over my face so every pic I have of me is blurred 🙂 (You know that old saying about being so ugly it breaks the camera? Hope it’s not that!)
